Medical disclaimer
Before your first scan
Not medical advice. Glutenwise reads ingredient lists. It doesn't replace your doctor or dietitian. Talk to them before making medical decisions.
Always read the pack. Recipes change and labels can be misread. When a Verdict says Not sure, check before eating.
"No gluten ingredients found" isn't a certification. It means we found no gluten source and no may-contain warning. It doesn't mean the food is certified gluten-free.
How Verdicts are made
A Barcode scan looks the product up in public product databases (USDA FoodData Central, then Open Food Facts), and the AI model checks its ingredient list for gluten sources and may-contain warnings. A Label scan sends your photo to an AI model that reads the ingredient label and looks for the same things. Each Verdict shows the words it is based on and where they came from. If the label can't be read, or the database entry is incomplete or old, the Verdict is Not sure.
